As President and CEO of the Board of Directors for Redland Tropical Gardens & Botanical Foundation Inc. for the past 15 years, Margie has routinely demonstrated the passion, dedication and diligence required to be among the best.
Redland Tropical Gardens & Botanical Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of tropical horticulture and botany. Founded in 1995, as a not for profit community investment organization, they established a mission to provide education for residents as well as national and international visitors about tropical horticulture, tropical botany and tropical environment. The Foundation portion of Redland Tropical Gardens is committed to providing the funds for education through endowments, trust, scholarships, technical assistance, certified training programs, seminars and tours in local communities.
Margie, who founded the organization, has twenty five years of experience in the Wholesale Floriculture Industry. As a volunteer with a tremendous passion for plants she has worked in collaboration with many local and international experts in the fields of Forestry, Arboriculture, Horticulture, Botany and Gardening. She works diligently towards establishing the education of those from the local area as well as internationally.
Margie took a number of college courses but she has received the majority of her education through experience and her intense study of the natural environment that surrounds her. Naturally, she immensely enjoys gardening in her leisure time.
